Come Shopping With The Family

No quote this week, but an interesting exercise for the family instead...
A couple of weeks back you all came shopping with me - after all, what better way is there to get to know a woman!!

So this week, I took the family window-shopping instead... An insight in to me, via them.
What will you learn?

Beautiful Girl picked this simple amethyst ring for me.
"Because it's simple and amethyst is a great stone. And you like simple, Mum."

Husband chose the butterfly ring. No other reason that he likes it - and therefore I will too! After 20 years married, he should know what I like!!

Small Boy picked the Peace in your Heart necklace.
"Because it's a heart, Mum. And I love you and you love me."
Husband actually picked this necklace as well, and was a little miffed when Small Boy said "But I got that one Dad."

It was an interesting exercise - questioning why the family chose each particular piece of jewellery. A lot of other pieces were chosen as well, and they had a tough time narrowing it down to these three.
Why not take your family shopping with SATeam? So how their choices reflect on how they think of you? How they see you in their mind?

Quote Me - Marcelene Cox

The quickest way to know a woman is to go shopping with her.
~Marcelene Cox

Today's pick are purely personal - and you've just come shopping with me!!
What can you tell?
Come on - have a go - from these three photos... what can you tell?!

I think that your choice in jewellery says as much about you as your choice in clothes, shoes or hand-bags.
It's very personal - to the point where sometimes others can't pick for you.

If you're still wondering...
I'm a pacifist who loves my family intensely.
My favourite flowers are roses.
And do not, under any circumstances, get in my bad books!!

Beautiful Blues

Blue is the colour of the lake on a beautiful day. It's the colour of the clear sky. It's soothing and restful.

Blue is my favorite colour, always has been. My wardrobe has been dominated by the colour since I was a young child. Even my high school uniform was blue. With so much blue clothes comes a lot of blue jewelry.

What is your favorite colour? Do you have a disproportionate amount of jewelry in that colour too?

Today I offer you a selection of blue jewelry from the members of the Starving Artists team.

A Ring for Every Mood

For years I wore the same two rings every day. Then I took my first soldering class and our first two projects were rings. This was pretty exciting as I had never made any rings.

Making rings turned out to be lots of fun. I love to make them. My personal ring collection has expanded pretty significantly, and I’m no longer limited to the same two each day. Some days my ring choice is based on the outfit I’m wearing and other days it is based on my mood. Am I feeling cheerful and upbeat? Do I want to play? Do I want to appear sophisticated? Maybe it’s a casual and relaxed kind of day. I love that there are so many design possibilities with rings and that a person can match any mood.

Do you wear the same ring(s) each day or change it up regularly? Do you match your clothes, your mood or does something else drive your choice of ring?

Fun and Flirty

Big and Bold

Sleek and Sophisticated

Natural and Organic

Bright and Colourful

Quote Me - Author Unkown

The three rings of marriage are the engagement ring, the wedding ring, and the suffering.

~Author Unknown

Feeling a bit cheeky today. And need to make up for forgetting last weeks post - sorry!!

I love my family - I couldn't (and wouldn't) be without them.
But at times, I wish they would just leave me alone!

You all know what I mean.
You're about to solder that fiddly bit... String that last bead... Sketch that design that's been bugging you all day...
And whatever it is that they want/need, has to be done immediately.
Can't wait!

So, how do you work around your family and home life?
Your husband/wife/significant other?
Your boyfriend/girlfriend?
Your kids/cats/dogs?
Your full-time job (you know the one... it keeps food on the table and a roof over your head)?

Must sign out now... time to go deal with some 'suffering'.
