It's said everyone has a black sheep in the family.
In my family there's a thief, not an ordinary, but a master thief. Nothing is safe from him. He started out on ordinary stuff, like paper from the waste basket, then added bread and soup and other edibles, worked his way up to wire spools, pens and crochet hooks, but for quite a while now he has become determined to go for the really good stuff - jewelry.
Let me present my very own cat burglar, the purring black sheep of the family - Ponder Stibbons, also known as Pon, Stibber, Ponpon, Mr. Ponsonby and countless other names, some not as flattering as others - here in his very own getaway car.
Today I discussed his priorities with him and he picked out some pieces to go on his list.
Ponder likes hoops a lot and he went for these gorgeous Amethyst and silver hoop earrings by Shiny Adornments right away. I agree, that deep purple goes great with the antiqued silver.
My cat burglar wouldn't be a cat if he didn't love everything dangly. It was a tough choice, but how could he have resisted these copper and olive jade earrings from the studio of MC Stoneworks?!
One of Pon's first loves in jewelry were bracelets. The lovely mix of raku lampwork beads and sparkling Swarovski in this one by Nicole Valentine Studio caught his connoisseur's eye immediately.
Know what? Even if you don't have your own cat burglar, because of allergy or because you live in a small apartment on the 45th floor or maybe because you are a dog person, you can still own these beautiful pieces. Isn't that great?
Hop over and have a look. There's more, I'm sure you won't regret it.
P.S. Don't you think the furry guy has excellent taste? ;-)

You have a loveable, cute cat with a great taste. Very nice story with beautiful examples.
Ponder is the cutest thief I've ever seen. At least he has good taste. :)
The official cat helper has great taste! I love the copper and jade earrings. That shade of green complements the warm copper.
Ha ha! I had a thief cat once too. He'd pick up a sock, run back and forth between two rooms to make you think he was "playing" with it, and then at some point, would come back in and grab another sock. He hid his "stash" behind the bed. Thanks for bringing back a fun memory!
Getaway car Too funny! Very funny post Cat - I was thoroughly entertained!
Love it Cat! I have one of my own, but she's not as skilled as Ponder. She's pretty good at snatching toy mice, beads and Q-tips though.
Nicely told, Cat...I have a new addition to our family that right out of the box has revealed her cunning ways...Willow, our 3 month old Wheaten Terrier collects all kinds of articles of clothing which we will find in her bed...today she took my bra and hubby told her she needed one with more cups...LOL! Lovely jewelry selections, Ponder!
Well your thief has great taste that's for sure. What a great story, nicely told.
Favorite blog post ever! My cat steals bandaids but only NON used ones, he's figured out how to open the cupboard door to get the box out.
He is so cute, fun post!
Not only does Ponder have excellent taste in jewelry, his get away car is a hoot!
Too funny, Cat!
Ponder is a stealthy looking fellow indeed. Our Bear could be his twin and also has a jewelry fetish. I can't ever leave earrings on the nightstand.
Oh yes, I have 3 theives of my very own... can't leave anything on a surface because it will "disappear." Just love that getaway car! Great post, Cat.
Such a cute cat. Love the examples you chose too.
