Qoute Me - Sonja Henie

Jewelry takes people’s minds off your wrinkles.

~Sonja Henie

The older I get, the more my taste in jewellery is changing.

Once upon a time, I used to go for the flashy, in-your-face designs – you know, the ones that you could see from 100 metres down the street. The bigger and bolder, the better!

Now ( as I approach my ’40’s *gasp* ;P ) my jewellery has become much more understated.

Simplicity is key. Less is more.

I still love the unusual – simple doesn’t have to be boring.

So, what does your jewellery style say about you?

Has your style changed with your age?

Or are you just trying to hide your wrinkles :-) ??

I love all kinds of jewelry. I wear simple designs to bold ethnic pieces and everything in between. Eclectic, I guess covers it.

Fantastic post Tasha. My taste *has* changed over the years but in addition to my *age*, it also changes with my mood. It's so good to know that the SATeam has got ya covered no matter what your taste is on any given day!

Fabulous post Tash - my taste has definitely changed. When I was younger it was not refined. Now I have an appreciation for the handmade and love pieces that has been handcrafted by someone, it makes it that extra special!

I completely agree Caron.
When I was younger, it was more about the price (cheap!) of the jewellery.
Now I so much more appreciate the time and dedication that goes in to handmade!!
I'm trying to educate my daughter (and son) about the value of handmade now. Maybe the next generation will see things differently??

First - thanks for including my pendant!
Second - oh yes, it has changed. My style went from wild when I was young to very classic when I was not so young anymore, now it's whatever I feel like, wild, classic, bright, sparkly ... The only guideline is that the quality has to be right.
