Quote Me - Tevenna Jordan

A mother is a person - who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.
~Tevenna Jordan

It's been a rough week at our house... I've been giving up lots of pieces of pie.
There's the Peach Pie to run Daughter back and forth to the dentist and orthodontist.
There's the Apple Pie to sit for 3 hours and watch Little Man at Soccer Clinic.
There's the Meat Pie when Husband has travelled for days at a stretch.

But I know that on Mothers Day morning, there'll be pancakes in bed... fresh ground coffee... a rose picked from the garden.

I won't have to do any cooking or cleaning on that day. And I'll be served a dinner of my choice that night. I'll have a bubble bath run for me, and I'll be able to sit un-interrupted, until the water goes cold.

Even though we give up pieces of pie for our family and our loved ones, they do let you know they love you... in only the ways that they can.

So, whether you are a mum or not, whether your mum is with you or not - spoil the "mother" in your life on Mothers Day... she's given up pie for you.

I love this post...so witty. I love how you separated 'pies' for giving to others, fantastic.

Oh, and by the way, I never did care for pie.

I'm not a mother, but this was a beautiful post.
I'd give up my piece of pie for my mother anytime.
