Days are getting shorter and many people I know are sad about the sun going away. The other day one of them said it's like an old friend saying goodbye. People are dreading going out of the house in darkness in the morning and coming back in the darkness.
I love fall and I don't mind it being dark. It's like practising for winter, but without the cold.
Darkness can be beautiful and one of my favorite songs that always come to my mind when I think of it is "The End" by The Doors. It somehow has that mysterious quality, the right mood for an afternoon spent in my armchair, with a cat on the blanket over my legs, a drink on the table, a book in my hand that I have forgotten about because I am looking out of the rooflight above me, taking in the beauty of the dark clouds in the sky and letting my mind wander .......
To show this beauty of the darkness to you, I chose a few pieces once again.

I like fall too, especially when we have a "Golden October", but doesn't loook like one yet, raining all the time, mind you, it is not October yet *gg.

We are actually having some cooler fall temps in Texas this week - what a welcome surprise. Fall is a beautiful time of year in a lot of the US, when the trees look like they are on fire. Unfortunately, we don't have beautiful fall foliage where I live.
I don't really like the shorter days since the weather is finally comfortable enough to spend time outside. Love your dark jewelry selections.
I like hearing rain on the roof, but I'll admit other than that I am not a huge fan of our winter here. We get a lot of gray overcast days and they get depressing after a while. I LOVE snow! LOVE IT! I heard they are predicting a cold winter for this year so I am doig a snow dance!
I love this time of year. No big surprise that Halloween is my favorite holiday ;)
