Sorry, don't feel like doing anything today.

Thought I'd start out this post with a photo of what the field in back of my house looked like after a quick and heavy snow squall. All the trees look frosted and fairy-like.

Ever have one of those days when you really don't feel like doing anything? I went to bed the other night with lots of plans for today: tumbling chain maille rings, oxydizing them, removing the resist off a cuff because the design idea looked really really bad after drawing it, quick trip to pick up something to apply ink better than what I have (Magic Markers are way too big for any detail other than large spots), vacuum, laundry, oh, and write a new blog post.

Woke up next morning with a queasy stomach, slightly light headed, very cold, not quite achy but am expecting that any minute now. Tossed dirty sheets in the washer, poured myself some iced tea, and sat down to come up with some topic for this blog.

Day after that: feel much better but NO IDEA FOR BLOG!!! No, wait a minute, how about this: blogging itself? Yeah, that might work. Here goes:

In this day of instant knowledge and instant access to practically anything and everything blogging has become the diary of the internet user. The word "blog" is a combination of the words "web log". (Brings back memories of "Star date 2567..." from Star Trek.) Blogs can be text, images, even video. Some blogs are day by day accounts of someone's life. Other blogs follow certain interests, such as food, travel, photography, or in our case, jewelry showcased on the Starving Artists Team blog. Practically every day we are treated to works of art by members of the Starving Jewelry Artist Team.

I could list all the blogs members have but I'm pretty sure you will have given up after a hundred or so. But the beauty of following the SATeam's blog is that there is always something unique that fits a particularly unique interest, and that narrows the field nicely. Reading the newspaper is no longer part of my daily morning routine. So, along with this blog, I go down through a list of blogs I follow more or less daily. Here are a few:

Cat's Wire I love her movie trivia posts.
'thew's Reviews More of an "anything" blog, not just jewelry.
Simply Shiny Life Kristy's blog has always been a wealth of information, especially for on-line selling.
Digital Photography School This one's a very good source of photography information.
Light Stalking Same reason as above.

This post written by a member of the Starving Artists Team. The SATeam members create handcrafted jewelry and beads. More information about our team and its current shop owner members can be found at SATEAM.etsy.com and on ArtFire.

I can totally relate! I follow the Digital Photography School too. I don't remember how I found it, but it was probably when I did a search on f-stops and depth of field information. Now I have to go check out that other site you mentioned... Light Stalking? Cool name.
