When life gives you lemons ...

... you don't necessarily have to make lemonade. See for yourself.

I was a little surprised I didn't find very many yellow items in the team shops. Yellow is such a happy color, it makes us think of the sun and gives us new energy.
When looking it up I even found that lemon yellow is the academic color for library and information science? How funny! I'm a librarian and even as a child I felt drawn to that color! It was always the shortest one of all my crayons. Who could have known there was a secret meaning behind this? ;-)
Unfortunately I lost yellow a little myself. I am convinced that - as much as I love it - it's not my color to wear. Instead I went towards blue and black. How much more different could it be?
Maybe I have enticed you to take another look at yellow? I know I have enticed myself!

Some fabulous yellow pieces featured today - no lemons here. :)

I used to not like yellow so much. I thought it was too bright and/or sallow looking, but I have certainly gained a new appreciation of yellow recently, and these delectable jewelry pieces show even further how fun the color is.

Did you know that yellow causes less eye strain than white, and supposedly enhances learning, which is why legal pads are made with yellow paper and it is a very common color for schools. It's also used on buses because it's bright and visible but doesn't cause anxiety to drivers like red fire trucks do. All the crazy little bits of info you learn as a psych student!

Thanks for featuring a pair of my earrings! I never saw them that way before! They always looked a bit like fish to me :) I think I like the lemon thing better!

Cat, you have given me reason to rethink yellow...actually a color that I use some value of in decorating quite often but abhor when it comes to wearing it...now I see how some pretty yellow gems can add a spark of sunshine to any outfit. Thanks for a great post.

I love your sunny yellow post. It cheered up a very gloomy day.

I find it hard to pick a yellow I like, I like a pinkyer (is that a word?) tone to it. BUT, I love those pie earings!

I love yellow for the reasons Cat mentioned. It's such a cheerful and happy color. Perhaps that's why so many flowers, butterflies and birds are yellow!

Have to admit, I've made very little yellow jewelry, but after reading this post, I'll be re-thinking that.

Wonderful array of "yellow" pieces, not a colour I can wear but do love this colour in the home
