One of the most often used tools in my studio is my Sharpie pen. I love the new colors! I probably have over 20 pens at the moment, and lust for several more.
I’ve been doing some copper etching and the fine tipped sharpies make a nice resist. I need to experiment with the different colors and see if any work better than others. The fatter tips makes a slightly better resist but are hard to get any kind of detail with.
A good pen in a happy color can bring a childlike grin to my face!

Sharpies are a great tool. They can be used for lots of things other than writing.
I also use my sharpie a lot in jewelry making. Mine is usually used to mark lengths of wire or some other thing. Sometimes they serve as mandrels in a pinch. I will be getting into etching soon, so they will be getting a new use.
Sharpies have just started to get popular over here, I'm a stationery lover - new pens remind me of Christmases as a child when I would always get a new pack of felt-tips :)
I read somewhere that the red Sharpie is the best one for doing copper etching. I ♥ my Sharpies!
Lurve Sharpies!
Great for marking my spot on a round nose plier, signing pendants and they make a great mandrel in a pinch too!
Not to mention all the cool colors now available.
I've just discovered Sharpies fabulous use with beading - need to expand my range!
Oh I love my sharpies... The super fine ones for writing and also for marking lines on my round nose pliers. I have to reapply them often, but I prefer that to tape. Sharpies are fun!!
Have to agree with you about Sharpies- Love them. A girl can never have too many. ;-)
