Eye Candy: Focus on Green

Jewelry is a very personal, and often impulsive, choice. Sometimes we are simply drawn to a piece and we know that we must have it. Color is just as subjective; most of us have our favorites, and we wear them constantly. But there is more to color than just our likes and dislikes; studies have shown that color can affect our emotions.

Green is the color of new beginnings in nature; it represents fertility and life. Green symbolizes the powerful energy of growth, and should be worn to promote the changes and transformations required for personal growth. It is also a restful color; when wearing green, most people feel relaxed and happy. Because of this, green is said to enhance self-respect, growth, harmony and well-being.

Wear green if you need:
  • to add balance to your life
  • to make some changes
  • to accelerate personal growth
  • to find the courage to pursue new ideas
  • protection from fears and anxieties connected with the demands of others

I am amazed at how the different shades of green in each piece evokes a different emotion: some calming, others cheerful...fantastic!
