...everybody must get stoned!

The meaning of this refrain in the chorus of Bob Dylan's Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 is a topic of much debate...is it a reference to an altered state by means of drugs or alcohol or maybe it is meant in the biblical sense of stoning as a punishment or even very possibly a more obtuse and abstract personal referral to the critical reviews on Dylan's move from acoustic to electric guitars and performances...

Whatever the intended meaning, the raucous song was a top ten hit in the "high" flying mid-sixties and for many to this day will bring on visions of mug tapping merriment and the desire to sing along to without any care to whether one sings on key or not...the whole musical arrangement and vocals of the recorded performance were off key anyway.

But...I didn't really start this post to talk of music...I'm here to sing the praises of our very talented SATeam jewelry artists...and everyone must get stoned...with stone from the earth, cut and polished to highlight their beautiful colors and other properties. So I have put together a small representation of how some of our team members have incorporated stones in to works of art to adorn any women....

How about the little known additional lyrics never recorded by Dylan (or so the story goes): "Send the stones to me...include the pendants and everything else..." Okay, so maybe that wasn't quite true but sounds like a good idea. My address is...
